Chula Vista Crash on Fourth Avenue Results in Minor Injuries
Chula Vista, California (October 22, 2020) – Minor injuries were reported Wednesday afternoon following a multi-vehicle collision that happened in Chula Vista, a local news source reported.
The October 21 crash occurred shortly after 2:20 p.m. on Fourth Avenue in front of the Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista.
The accident happened when a vehicle of unspecified make and built pulled into the street from a parking lot and crashed with a car driven by a police officer.
The officer, who was responding to a call, was reportedly heading southbound on Fourth Avenue prior to the collision.
Officials said a third vehicle that was waiting in a center turn lane was also involved in the mishap.
Officer Suffers Minor Injuries in Chula Vista Collision
Paramedics responded to the crash site and rushed the officer to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Medical personnel also attended to the other two motorists who had suffered minor injuries.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
