57-Year-Old Man Killed in Chula Vista Pedestrian Crash on E Street near Broadway
Chula Vista, California (January 31, 2021) – A 57-year-old man was hit-and-killed by a vehicle on Saturday evening in Chula Vista, authorities said.
The deadly pedestrian accident occurred at about 7:10 p.m., on January 30, on E Street, west of Broadway.
According to the police, the man was crossing midblock on E Street when a Toyota Tundra struck him.
Male Pedestrian Killed in Crash on E Street
The male pedestrian was critically injured and was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at about 9:25 p.m.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
