6-Year-Old Child Injured after Chula Vista Pedestrian Accident at Terra Nova Drive and H Street
Chula Vista, California (July 15, 2019) – A 6-year-old child was injured after an alleged hit-and-run collision Saturday evening in the area of Chula Vista, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at about 8 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at 8 p.m. at Terra Nova Drive and H Street
As per the CHP officials, a black Hyundai Elantra was trying to make a U-turn when it hit the child.

An ambulance was dispatched to the scene to attend to the child. The pedestrian was transported to Rady Children’s Hospital for treatment of minor injuries including scrapes on the back. The name of the child and their current condition were not immediately released.
Witnesses told officials that the Elantra driver sped off on East H Street following the crash.
