2 Injured in Chula Vista Car Crash on 5 Freeway near H Street
Chula Vista, California (November 9, 2020) – Two people were hospitalized after two cars collided Sunday afternoon on 5 Freeway in Chula Vista, the California Highway Patrol reported.
As per the report, the accident took place at about 3:05 p.m. in the northbound lanes, just north of H Street.
The crash involved a gray Ford Focus and charcoal-gray Nissan SUV.
The driver of the Ford said they were traveling at a speed of about 80 mph when they tried to change lanes and hydroplaned, causing the car to crash into the SUV.
Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
