Christobal Calderon ID’d as Ukiah Man Killed in Mendocino County Car Crash on Highway 20 near Marina Drive

Mendocino County, California (September 1, 2020) – Christobal Calderon, 19, of Ukiah, has been identified as the man who was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Monday morning in Mendocino County, according to the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office
At about 5:12 a.m., on August 31, the California Highway Patrol Responded to the deadly accident on Highway 20, just west of Marina Drive.
The CHP said Calderon was driving a Mercury Mariner westbound on Highway 20 at an unspecified speed when he drove off onto the highway’s right shoulder.
Calderon’s Mercury then swerved off the roadway and continued northbound in a westerly direction before it crashed into a steep dirt embankment.

Sadly, Calderon was pronounced dead at the scene.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
