Scott Merryman Injured in Trinity Car Accident on Highway 299 near Power House Road
Trinity County, California (November 5, 2019) – A California Highway Patrol officer was injured in a collision involving a logging truck in Trinity on Monday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 2:06 p.m. November 4, on Highway 299 near Power House Road.
As per a local news report, Officer Scott Merryman, 46, from the Trinity River Area, had been traveling westbound on the roadway and was making a turn after noticing a speeding vehicle when his patrol car was struck by a logging truck.

CHP said Merryman sustained serious injuries in the accident and was taken to Mercy Medical Center in Redding for treatment.
The truck driver sustained injuries to his knee.
