CHP Officer Injured in North Highlands Motorcycle Crash at 32nd Street and Elkhorn Boulevard

North Highlands, California (February 3, 2021) – A California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer was injured after a pursuit ended in a crash in North Highlands on Tuesday afternoon.
The collision was reported at about 2:20 p.m. February 2, in the area of 32nd Street and Elkhorn Boulevard.
The officer was reportedly pursuing a motorist who had been driving recklessly in the area. The suspect crashed his vehicle at the intersection and attempted to flee on foot.
The officer dropped his motorcycle and pursued the suspect before detaining him.
The officer suffered minor injuries in the crash and was treated at the scene.
