68-Year-Old Woman Injured in Chico Pedestrian Crash on Nord Avenue near West First Street
Chico, California (March 31, 2019) – A woman was struck and injured by a vehicle in Chico late Friday night, the Chico Police Department said in a press release.
The incident was reported at about 11:40 p.m. March 29, on Nord Avenue near West First Street.
Police said a 68-year-old woman was trying to cross Nord Avenue outside of a crosswalk when she was struck by a southbound vehicle driven by a 73-year-old Chico man.
Woman Hospitalized after Being Struck in Chico
The victim was rushed to a hospital with major injuries.
The man driving the vehicle involved was at the scene when the police arrived.
The crash is under investigation.
