Man Dies in Chico Pedestrian Accident on Lassen Avenue at Highway 99 Overpass
Chico, California (September 27, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Friday morning in Chico, according to a local news report.
The deadly accident happened at about 7:15 a.m. at Lassen Avenue and the Highway 99 overpass.
According to police, a man was hit by a vehicle on East Lassen Avenue at the Highway 99 overpass for an undetermined reason.
Pedestrian Struck by Car in Chico Friday
Emergency crews responded to the scene and found the man suffering from major injuries following the crash. He was taken to Enloe Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
Lassen Avenue from Joshua Tree Road to Monterey Street was closed for more than three hours as a result of the crash.
