Chico, California (June 15, 2021) – At least one person was injured following a multi-vehicle collision in Chico Tuesday evening, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The crash took place on Highway 99, just south of Garner Lane.

According to the CHP, three vehicles collided for undetermined reasons in the northbound lanes of Highway 99.

CHP said at least one person sustained minor to moderate injuries in the crash. The exact number of patients and their identities were not immediately disclosed.

Northbound lanes were closed following the wreck. As of 6:31 p.m., the highway was reopened to traffic.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
