Charles Vance Seriously Hurt in Napa Car Accident on Monticello Road near Vichy Avenue
Napa, California (October 30, 2019) – A driver was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon in a head-on crash in Napa, according to a local news report.
The accident happened at about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, October 29 on Monticello Road, just north of Vichy Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Braden Conners, 33, was driving his vehicle on Monticello Road when he crossed over solid double yellow lines to pass another vehicle and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle driven by Charles Vance, 60, of Napa.
Vance sustained major injuries and was transported to Queen of the Valley Medical Center. Conners was not injured.
The CHP said both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident. There were no arrests made in connection with the crash.
Alcohol or drugs were not suspected factors in the accident.
Traffic in both lanes was closed for approximately 45 minutes. An investigation into the accident is underway.
