Charlene Webb Killed in Merced Pedestrian Accident on Highway 99 near Sultana Drive
Merced, California (August 11, 2020) – The authorities have disclosed the identity of a woman who died after being struck by a vehicle in Merced County last week Wednesday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 99 near Sultana Drive at about 12:30 a.m. August 5.
30-year-old Charlene Webb, of Las Vegas, and a man were traveling southbound on Highway 99 when they stopped on the side of the roadway.

Webb got out of the vehicle and was running across the freeway when she was hit by a Toyota SUV.
Webb was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The driver of the Toyota stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
