Ceres, California (November 17, 2019) – One person was killed and several others injured in a multi-car collision that occurred early Saturday morning in Ceres, according to the Ceres police.

The crash was reported at about 5:30 a.m. November 16, on East Hatch Road near Moffett Road.

Police said a black 2002 Honda and a 2008 grey Mazda were both traveling eastbound on Hatch Road when they collided, for unknown reasons. The impact sent both vehicles into the path of oncoming traffic and the Mazda collided with a westbound 1994 Ford Ranger.

The driver of the Mazda was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim’s identity was not immediately released.

The driver of the Honda was hospitalized with major injuries.

The two occupants of the Ford were also taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Police said the driver of the Honda is suspected of DUI.

The collision is under investigation.
