Driver Hospitalized after Cathedral City Crash on Interstate 10 near Date Palm Drive Exit

Cathedral City, California (April 26, 2021) – A driver was sent to the hospital with serious injuries after a traffic collision that happened Sunday night in Cathedral City, the California Highway Patrol said.
According to CHP, the accident took place at about 9:33 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 10, just west of Date Palm Drive exit.
Reportedly, two vehicles collided for unknown reasons, and one of them overturned.
No one was injured in the crash.
Moments later, another traffic collision involving two vehicles and possibly a driver of one of the cars involved in the first accident occurred at the same scene.
That driver sustained serious injuries in the accident and was rushed to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The report said the injured driver had possibly been drinking prior to the collisions.
CHP is investigating to establish what transpired leading to the incidents.
