Boy, Woman Injured in Fatal Castroville Crash on Cabrillo Highway and Highway 183
Castroville, California (March 15, 2019) – A woman and a boy were hospitalized after a fatal vehicle accident that occurred on Wednesday evening in Castroville, according to a local news source.
The deadly incident was reported around 6:45 p.m. March 13, on northbound Cabrillo Highway south of Highway 183.
Police said a Honda Civic was northbound on Cabrillo Highway when the driver swerved into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with a Toyota Camry.
2 Injured in Deadly Head-On Crash in Castroville
A 56-year-old woman, the driver of the Camry, and a 17-year-old man who was a passenger in the same vehicle sustained moderate injuries. They were both taken to Natividad hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at Natividad Hospital.
The identities of the parties involved have not been released.
A further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
