Cassie McClure Killed in Placerville Pedestrian Accident on Topaz Lane
Placerville, California (January 25, 2019) – An elderly pedestrian was fatally struck by a car in Placerville on Thursday afternoon.
According to a local news source, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred at about 1:18 p.m. January 24, on Topaz Lane.
As per the report, 94-year-old Cassie McClure of Cameron Park had been walking across the road when she was struck by a 2014 Toyota Tundra operated by 64-year-old Gracie Silva.
McClure sustained major injuries and was transported to Mercy Folsom Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
Silva remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
No other information was provided.
The authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
