Fresno, California (March 27, 2021) – A pedestrian accident that happened in Fresno Thursday night left 76-year-old Carmen Torres Chavira dead, according to a report by the County Coroner’s Office.
Authorities responded to the deadly crash site at approximately 10:15 p.m. on McKinley Avenue near North Millbrook Avenue.
Chavira was struck by a vehicle while crossing East McKinley Avenue’s eastbound lanes outside of the crosswalk.

Sadly, Torres Chavira died in the accident.
The involved motorist, who was not believed to have been intoxicated, remained at the scene and cooperated with the law enforcers.
