One Person Killed in Carmel Valley Crash on Highway 56 near Carmel Country Road
Carmel Valley, California (July 10, 2021) – One person was killed in a wrong-way traffic accident on Saturday morning in Carmel Valley, authorities said.
The deadly accident occurred at about 1:30 a.m. on Highway 56 near Carmel Country Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred in the eastbound lanes of the highway.
Another driver reportedly disregarded a road closure following the collision and crashed into the back of a parked CHP vehicle.
Sadly, one person was killed in the accident.
An investigation into the collision is underway.
