Pedestrian Killed in Carlsbad Train Crash at Carlsbad Village Station

Carlsbad, California (February 3, 2019) – A man was struck and killed by a Pacific Surfliner train in Carlsbad on Saturday morning, according to the authorities.
The crash happened shortly before 8:15 a.m. February 2 at the Carlsbad Village Station.
According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office, the train 562 was bound for San Diego when the accident happened.
The victim died at the scene.
No one on board the train was hurt.
The crash caused a delay of approximately 2 hours as the tracks were closed for the investigation.
The incident remained under investigation.
