Man Seriously Injured in Carlsbad Pedestrian Crash on Carlsbad Boulevard and Tierra del Oro Street
Carlsbad, California (May 6, 2019) – A man was struck and seriously injured by a vehicle on Sunday night in Carlsbad, according to the Carlsbad police.
The collision took place at about 9 p.m. May 5, near the Carlsbad Boulevard and Tierra del Oro Street intersection.
Police said the man was walking across Carlsbad Boulevard outside of a crosswalk when he was hit by a northbound Toyota Tacoma operated by an 18-year-old woman.
Man Seriously Hurt in Carlsbad Pedestrian Crash
The victim sustained a serious head injury and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
The driver of the pickup stayed at the scene after the crash.
The incident is under investigation.
