Carlos Barahona Hit, Killed by Vehicle on Pacific Coast Highway in Pacific Palisades
Carlos Barahona ID’d as Man Killed in Pacific Palisades Pedestrian Accident on PCH at Porto Marina Way

Pacific Palisades, California (February 16, 2021) – Carlos Barahona, 27, of Los Angeles, has been identified as the pedestrian who was hit and killed by a vehicle on Sunday night near Pacific Palisades, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
The deadly accident happened at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday, February 14, on Pacific Coast Highway at Porto Marina Way, authorities said.
According to the authorities, Barahona was crossing Pacific Coast Highway outside of a crosswalk when the driver of a northbound vehicle swerved to avoid the man but ended up hitting him.
The vehicle then drifted into southbound lanes and crashed down an embankment onto the beach.

Barahona was declared deceased at the scene.
The driver and passenger of the vehicle were injured in the crash.
Pacific Coast Highway between Porto Marina Way and Temescal Canyon Road was closed following the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
