40-Year-Old Reseda Man Killed in Camp Pendleton Crash on Interstate 5 near Basilone Road
Camp Pendleton, California (December 24, 2020) – A 40-year-old man was killed in a Thursday morning traffic accident in Camp Pendleton, authorities said.
The deadly single-vehicle accident transpired at about 5:00 a.m. on Interstate 5, south of Basilone Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota 4-Runner, driven by the Reseda Man, was headed southbound on Interstate 5 when it veered off the roadway and overturned.
Following the collision, the vehicle came to a rest in the Coaster railroad right-of-way west of the freeway.

The 40-year-old man, who was ejected from the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the mishap.
The crash remains under investigation.
