Camarillo, California (August 29, 2019) – Minor injuries were sustained in a fiery car accident that took place Thursday morning on Highway 101 in Camarillo, a local news source reported.

The incident happened at approximately 7:48 a.m. in the northbound lanes, south of Las Posas Road.

California Highway Patrol officials said at least two vehicles including a Nissan Rogue and a sedan were involved in the collision.

The manner of the accident remained unknown. The Nissan ended up blocking two lanes of the highway and the sedan in the shoulder of the slow lane. The sedan caught fire in the accident. The fire was extinguished by Ventura County firefighters who responded to the scene.

An unknown number of persons sustained minor injuries in the crash.

CHP is investigating the accident.
