California City, California (June 6, 2020) – A two-vehicle crash claimed the life of a California City woman Thursday evening at a California City intersection.

At about 5:55 p.m. Thursday, June 4, City police officers responded to the area of Redwood Boulevard and 98th Street for the reported traffic crash.

Authorities determined that two-vehicles collided at the intersection of Redwood Boulevard and 98th Street for unknown reasons.

California City Woman Dies in Car Crash at Redwood Boulevard and 98th Street

A 26-year-old California City woman was trapped inside her vehicle and had to be extricated by officers from the California City Fire Department. She was then taken to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Drugs or alcohol were not considered to be a factor in the accident. The name of the deceased woman has not been disclosed pending notification of family.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing. The California City Police Department asked anyone who witnessed the crash to call them at 760-373-8606.
