Calexico, CA: 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 98 at Dogwood Road
At Least 1 Injured in Calexico Accident on Highway 98 (Birch Street) at Dogwood Road
Calexico, California (November 5, 2020) – At least one person was injured Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash at an intersection in Calexico, Imperial County.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident occurred just before 5:40 a.m. on Highway 98 at Dogwood Road. Highway 98 is also known as Birch Street.
According to the CHP, a white Toyota Tacoma pickup truck collided with a minivan at the Calexico intersection.
The pickup truck ended up on its side against a fence next to the highway.
Authorities said at least one of the drivers sustained unspecified injuries and was treated at the scene by responding paramedics. It was not immediately clear if anyone was transported to the hospital.
No further details about the accident were given.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
