1 Injured in Cajon Pass Car Accident on Interstate 15
Cajon Pass, California (August 1, 2020) – One person was injured Saturday morning in a traffic accident on an interstate in the Cajon Pass, according to a local news source.
The crash involving two vehicles occurred at around 7:48 a.m. on Interstate 15 near the escape ramp.
As per the report, two vehicles collided in the southbound lane of the interstate. After the impact, one of the vehicles went about 100 feet over the side of the highway near the escape ramp, trapping its driver.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and extricated the trapped victim. The patient was then airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in unknown condition.
The driver of the second vehicle stopped at the scene after the crash. It was unclear whether the driver was injured.
The crash caused traffic congestion on the southbound Interstate 15.
