Cajon Pass, California (April 10, 2019) – A multi-vehicle collision left two people hospitalized on Tuesday afternoon in Cajon Pass, according to the CHP.

The wreck occurred at about 3:30 p.m. April 9, on Interstate 15, about 1.5 miles from Oak Hill Road.

CHP said they received a report of a collision between a semi-truck pulling a trailer and a red sedan. There was also a crash between a silver vehicle and a white Acura but it was not clear whether the collisions were related.

Emergency crews at the scene had requested for a helicopter but it could not land due to high winds.

Two people were transported by ground ambulance to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and were said to have suffered life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the wreck remained under investigation.
