1 Killed, 1 Injured in Cajon Pass Car Accident on 15 Freeway

Cajon Pass, California (May 31, 2019) – One person was killed and another sustained minor injury in a traffic collision that involves a semi-truck in Cajon Pass Thursday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision was reported at around 7:53 p.m. May 30 along the 15 Freeway.
A local news source indicated that a white Ford F-150 pickup truck hit the rear of a turquoise colored semi-truck on the highway. The initial report showed that the Ford crashed into the center divider for an unknown reason before the occurrence of the accident.
The pickup driver was trapped inside the vehicle following the crash. The victim was extracted from the wreckage by the San Bernardino County Fire Department officials along with the paramedics. The patient was eventually pronounced dead at the scene. The semi-truck motorist was rushed to Desert Valley Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The lanes No’s 1 and 2 of the highway to be closed down as police conducted the investigation.
The investigators handling the case are gathering more evidence to determine why the crash happened.
