Buttonwillow, California (January 20, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Wednesday morning head-on crash that killed at least one person in Buttonwillow.
The deadly two-vehicle accident happened at about 6:16 a.m. on Lerdo Highway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a red van and a white sedan collided head-on on the highway in unclear circumstances.

At least one person was killed in the accident.
The driver of the sedan was pinned in the vehicle and sustained major injuries.
