At Least 1 Killed in Buttonwillow Big Rig Collision on 5 Freeway

Buttonwillow, California (December 5, 2019) – Authorities are investigating a fatal big rig collision that happened Thursday morning in Buttonwillow.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident took place at about 5:08 a.m. on northbound 5 Freeway, just north of Buttonwillow Rest Area.
The collision involved a big rig and another car. The manner of the accident remained unknown.
Authorities said at least one person died in the collision.
An investigation to determine the cause of the crash is in progress.
