Butte County, California (May 28, 2019) – Three people were hurt in a traffic collision involving three two vehicles in Palermo Monday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision, which was reported at around 3:00 p.m. May 27, occurred on Palermo Road and Lone Tree Road.

The accident happened when a driver of a black car collided with a white flat-bed truck at the intersection. The primary reports showed that the black car allegedly drove through a stop sign prior to the occurrence of the accident. Due to the impact, both vehicles veered off the roadway and ended up in a ditch on the shoulder.

At least one person sustained major injuries following the wreck. A kid who was reported to have not been wearing a seat belt was among those who were injured in the accident. All three parties were transported to hospitals for treatment.

The detectives handling the case are gathering more evidence and information to identify the leading cause of the crash.
