Nyrik Anderson Killed, 3 Injured in Menifee Car Crash on 215 Freeway near Scott Road

Menifee, California (June 18, 2020) – A man was arrested after a fatal car crash that left three other people injured in Menifee on Tuesday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 8:38 p.m. June 16, on 215 Freeway between Scott and Newport Roads.
24-year-old Bryant Martinez Colin, of Murrieta, was driving a Toyota Tacoma southbound at a high rate of speed when he failed to stop for traffic and rear-ended a 2004 Honda Accord. The impact of the collision pushed the Honda into the rear of a 2017 Ford Fusion.

26-year-old Nyrik Anderson, who was a passenger in the Honda, was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to Inland Valley Medical Center where he died while undergoing treatment.
The 22-year-old female driver of the Honda was also transported to Inland Valley Medical Center with moderate injuries.
A 7-month-old boy who was a passenger in the Toyota Tacoma was transported to Rancho Springs Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
Colin was treated at Temecula Valley Hospital for minor injuries before being arrested on suspicion of murder, vehicular manslaughter, DUI with injury, and driving on a suspended license.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
