Bruce Vogt and Mary Holle Hospitalized after Ojai Motorcycle Accident in Highway 33

Ojai, California (May 28, 2020) – A rider was killed, and two others were injured in a crash involving a motorcycle and a car on Monday morning in Ojai, Ventura County, police said.
The fatal crash transpired at about 10:15 a.m., on May 25, on Highway 33.
According to the police report, a 2007 Subaru, driven by Bruce Vogt, 65, of Oak Park, was making a U-turn from the northbound dirt shoulder to the southbound dirt shoulder of Highway 33 when a Honda CBR 1000 sport motorcycle struck it.
The Honda, driven by a 35-year-old resident of Ventura County, reportedly hit the Subaru’s right-front passenger door.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Vogt and his passenger Mary Holle, 66, also from Oak Park, sustained minor injuries from the mishap. They were both taken to Ojai Valley Hospital for treatment.
Intoxication was not believed to have played a role in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
