Brentwood Teen Killed in Head-On Collision on Sellers Avenue in Contra Costa County
16-Year-Old Brentwood Boy Killed, 2 Seriously Injured in Contra Costa County Crash on Sellers Avenue near Delta Road

Contra Costa County, California (June 16, 2021) – A head-on collision has claimed the life of a 16-year-old Brentwood boy and left two other teenagers with serious injures Wednesday evening in Knightsen in unincorporated eastern Contra Costa County, according to authorities.
The deadly accident happened at around 5:35 p.m. on Sellers Avenue, just south of Delta Road, the California Highway Patrol reported.
According to the CHP, the 16-year-old boy was driving a white 2015 Acura TLX sedan southbound on Sellers Avenue when, for an unknown reason, he allowed the vehicle to cross over the double yellow lines into the opposite lane, where it collided head-on with a northbound blue 2003 Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by a 19-year-old Discovery Bay man.
Both vehicles sustained major front-end damage upon the impact.
Deadly Brentwood 2-Vehicle Accident on Sellers Avenue
The driver of the Acura was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a 15-year-old boy, was transported to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek in critical condition.
The Ford driver was also taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek with major injuries.
It is still unclear if alcohol or drugs was a factor in the collision.
