44-Year-Old Woman Killed in Brentwood Head-On Accident on Vasco Road
Brentwood, California (December 22, 2019) – A 44-year-old Discovery Bay woman was killed and another seriously injured in a traffic collision early Saturday morning in Brentwood, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal collision was reported at about 3:04 a.m. December 21, on Vasco Road, just south of Camino Diablo.
The accident began when a 2007 Acura SUV traveling south on Vasco Road swerved to the left, crossed over the solid double yellow lines and collided head-on with a northbound 2019 Nissan sedan driven by the Discovery Bay woman.
44-Year-Old Woman Killed After Two-Car Crashed in Brentwood
The Nissan sedan driver was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The SUV driver who was identified as a 34-year-old female party from East Palo Alto sustained major injuries in the crash.
She was rushed to John Muir hospital in Walnut Creek for treatment.
Meanwhile, the identities of both the deceased and the injured victims remain unknown to this time.
The investigation is underway.
