70-Year-Old Woman Killed in Brentwood Car Accident on Highway 4 Near Balfour Road
Brentwood, California (September 5, 2019) – A 70-year-old female driver died in a traffic collision involving a truck in Brentwood on Thursday.
The fatal collision happened on September 5, along Highway 4 near Balfour Road.
A local news source reported that a semi-truck traveling east on Balfour collided with a red two-door Mercedes sedan driven by a female party. The initial report indicated that the truck turned left to enter the highway and accidentally crashed into the sedan.
Deadly Car and Truck Accident in Brentwood, September 5
The female party sustained severe injuries in the crash. She was airlifted to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, where she was sadly pronounced dead. The name of the deceased remains unknown to this time.
The truck operator who was identified as a 59-year-old man appeared unharmed following the wreck. He stopped and cooperated with the officials’ investigation.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
