12-Year-Old Boy Killed in Acton Crash on 14 Freeway near Crown Valley Road

Acton, California (April 25, 2021) – A 12-year-old boy was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Friday night in Acton, authorities said.
The deadly accident occurred at about 11:05 p.m., on April 23, on Antelope Valley (14) Freeway, north of Crown Valley Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2011 Honda Accord rear-ended a 1999 Honda Accord on the freeway in unclear circumstances.
The crash impact caused the 1999 Accord to spin out of control and come to a rest facing southbound, within the northbound Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of traffic.
Boy Killed in 14 Freeway Crash
Sadly, the 12-year-old boy who was a passenger in the 1999 Accord, Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster, where he later died from his injuries.
A 15-year-old boy in the car suffered major injuries.
Two other people, a 33-year-old woman, and a 31-year-old man sustained minor injuries. All of the injured were transported to Antelope Valley Hospital.
A 23-year-old resident of Lancaster was transported to Antelope Valley with minor injuries. The patient was the driver of the 2011 Honda.
Intoxication was not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
