Borrego Springs, California (January 16, 2019) – Three persons were hospitalized after a traffic collision Wednesday morning in the area of Borrego Springs, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident happened at around 11:39 a.m. on Wednesday, at Highway 86 and Highway 78 connector near the US Border Patrol Checkpoint.

As per the CHP officials, a motorhome and a pickup truck crashed for unknown reasons. A woman was reportedly crawling out of her car after the collision.

Firefighters along with paramedics responded to the scene and attended to five people who suffered injuries as result of the collision. Three of the victims were transported by ambulances to Palomar Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries of unknown degree.

The two vehicles sustained major front-end damage following the accident.
