Bloomington, California (July 10, 2019) – Major injuries were sustained in a hit-and-run collision that happened Tuesday afternoon in Bloomington, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The incident took place at about 5:14 p.m. on eastbound 10 Freeway near Cedar Avenue.

CHP said the crash involved three vehicles. One of the cars fled the scene after the collision.

Responding paramedics confirmed that major injuries were sustained in the accident. The number of the victims, however, was not mentioned.

The crash left about 10 feet of guardrail damaged.

CHP is investigating the cause of the crash and the party to be held accountable.
