Temecula, California (June 4, 2019) – An 18-year-old driver who was injured in an alleged DUI two-car accident that left another teen dead in Temecula Saturday evening has been identified as Blake Gaston of Murrieta, according to a local news source.

The deadly crash was reported at about 6:20 p.m. June 1, at the intersection of Rancho California Road and Via Santa Rosa.

CHP said a 2015 BMW 328i was traveling westbound on Rancho California Road when the driver, for unknown reasons, drifted into the path of oncoming traffic at a curve and collided with an eastbound 2005 Toyota Corolla driven by Gaston.

Blake Gaston Injured in Fatal Temecula Car Accident

A 15-year-old girl who was a passenger in the Toyota was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Gaston and an 18-year-old passenger were transported to Inland Valley Medical Center with major injuries.

The driver of the BMW was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and vehicular manslaughter. He was also transported to Inland Valley Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.

Two other parties in the BMW were taken to the hospital with moderate to major injuries.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
