Billy Thao, Brad Thao, Cindhu Elamuazhuthz Hospitalized after Fatal 3-Car Crash on Highway 120 in Tuolumne County
Billy Thao, Brad Thao and Cindhu Elamuazhuthz Injured, 55-Year-Old Modesto Man Killed in Tuolumne County Car Accident on Highway 120 near La Grange Road
Tuolumne County, California (January 27, 2019) – The injured victims in a three-car accident that occurred Saturday evening in Tuolumne County have been identified as Cindhu Elamuazhuthz, 24, of Sunnyvale, Billy Thao, 37 and Brad Thao, 43, both from Sacramento.
The fatal accident took place at around 6:00 p.m. Saturday, January 26 on Highway 120, just east of La Grange Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 55-year-old Modesto man was driving a 1995 Mazda 626 eastbound on Highway 120 when he failed to handle a slight right curve in the road and veered into the westbound lane, where he struck a 2004 Toyota Tacoma pickup and then a 2018 Toyota Rav4.
The Modesto man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released pending identification and notification of his family.
The driver and passenger in the Toyota Tacoma, Billy and Brad, were transported to Adventist Health Sonora with moderate injuries. Elamuazhuthz, who was a passenger in the Toyota Rav4, was also transported to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto with moderate injuries.
The Toyota Rav4 driver, Muruganandham Arulandham, was not injured in the wreck.
Alcohol or drugs were suspected factors in the accident.
