Santa Barbara, California (January 11, 2019) – A bicyclist was injured after a traffic collision Friday afternoon in the area of Santa Barbara, according to a local news source.

The accident happened at around 1:46 p.m. Friday, at or near the intersection of Painted Cave Road and Highway 154 also known as San Marcos Pass Road.

As per the report, a male bicyclist was hit by a light-colored pickup truck for unknown reasons.

Firefighters along with paramedics arrived at the scene and found a male bicyclist lying on the side of the road. The victim was treated at the scene before he was transported to a local hospital for treatment of a head injury.

The name of the victim and their current condition remained unknown.

Officials said that the involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officials.
