Bethany Polhamus ID’d as Woman Killed in Bakersfield Pedestrian Accident on Union Avenue at East 7th Street
Bakersfield, California (August 5, 2020) – The woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle last Thursday at an intersection in Bakersfield has been identified.
Bethany Ann Polhamus, 40, died in the pedestrian crash that occurred at around 12:50 a.m. Thursday, July 30 Accident on Union Avenue at East 7th Street.
Authorities said Polhamus was hit by a vehicle while she was attempting to cross Union Avenue.

Polhamus was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver involved stopped at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the crash.
