San Diego, California (June 19, 2019) – 33-year-old Bernadette Jenel Grantling has been identified as the female party who was struck and killed by two police vehicles in San Diego late Saturday night.
The fatal crash, which was reported at about 11:03 p.m. June 8, occurred on Washington Street in the Hillcrest area.
As per the police report, the accident happened when Grantling was struck by two marked San Diego police cruisers crossing the street outside a marked crosswalk between West University Avenue and Front Street. The initial report showed that the San Diego Police Department officers were responding to a robbery in progress at the time of the crash.

Grantling sustained severe injuries following the wreck. She was rushed to the UCSD Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead.
