Beaumont Man Dies in Cherry Valley Car Accident at Cherry Valley Boulevard and Union Street Friday
Cherry Valley, California (November 1, 2019) – A Beaumont man was killed Friday morning in a traffic accident involving four vehicles in a Cherry Valley intersection, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash occurred at around 7:27 a.m.at the intersection of Cherry Valley Boulevard and Union Street, approximately a mile west of Beaumont High School.
CHP said the Beaumont man was driving his black Mazda Miata when for an unknown reason, the Miata was struck by a Range Rover at the Cherry Valley intersection. Due to the force of the impact, the Beaumont man lost control of the vehicle, and he was then t-boned by a Hyundai Santa Fe.
The Beaumont man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released pending notification of family.
The occupants of the other vehicles were uninjured.
The intersection of Cherry Valley Boulevard and Union Street was closed for several hours as the police investigated the cause of the accident.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
