Barrio Logan, California (March 17, 2020) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by several vehicles Sunday night, March 15 in Barrio Logan.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash took place shortly before 10:40 p.m. Sunday on south I-5 north of Cesar E. Chavez Parkway.
The victim was found laying on the roadway by emergency teams who responded to the scene shortly after the crash.

The patient was sadly pronounced dead at the scene before taken to a hospital.
Pending notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Several automobiles stopped after hitting the pedestrian. It was not mentioned whether or not there was any arrest made following the mishap.
The crash resulted in the closure of Southbound I-5 between Cesar Chavez Parkway and Logan Avenue as police conducted the investigation.
It was not clear if alcohol/and or drugs were factors in the collision.
The CHP is still investigating the cause of the accident.
