Barney Stence ID’d as Man Killed in Campo Accident on Lake Morena Drive
Campo, California (December 15, 2020) – The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man who died in a single-vehicle rollover crash Wednesday afternoon in Campo as Barney Stence, 60, of San Diego.
The deadly accident happened at around 12:14 p.m. Wednesday, December 9, in the 1880 block of Lake Morena Drive.
Authorities said Stence was driving on Lake Morena Drive when, for unknown reasons, he lost control of his vehicle and rolled over on the road.
Fatal Car Crash on Lake Morena Drive in Campo
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and took Stence to a local hospital with major injuries. On Monday, December 14, his condition deteriorated, and he succumbed to his injuries.
No further details about the crash were immediately provided.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
