Authorities Arrests Lilliana Diaz Following Banning Fatal Hit-and-Run Collision on Ramsey Street

Banning, California (January 26, 2021) – 20-year-old Leron Sanders died after being struck by an alleged hit-and-run driver, 29-year-old Lilliana Ruvalcaba Diaz, in Banning on December 9, 2019.
Officials responded to the deadly crash site at approximately 5:30 p.m. along Ramsey Street near Apex Street.
Sanders was riding a skateboard on the south edge of Ramsey Street when he was hit by a silver car operated by Diaz.
The initial report showed that the silver car swerved off the highway at the time of the collision.
Diaz fled the crash site without rendering aid to Sanders.

Sadly, Sanders died following the crash.
On January 22, Friday, detectives arrested Diaz and booked her into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility on vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and hit and run, causing injury or death.
