Bakersfield, California (December 10, 2019) – Three persons were hurt after a semi-truck collision Tuesday morning in the area of Bakersfield, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision happened at around 5:49 a.m. Tuesday, on northbound 5 Freeway at Highway 166.

As per the CHP officials, a white Ford pickup truck was rear-ended by a semi-truck for reasons still under investigation. Construction equipment debris was scattered in the lanes following the crash.

An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to three persons who complained of pain as a result of the crash. The names of the injured parties and their current condition were not immediately released.

Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.
