Bakersfield, California (December 20, 2020) – One person died after being struck by an alleged hit-and-run driver at an intersection in Bakersfield Saturday afternoon.

Police responded to the deadly crash site at about 5:30 p.m. at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Texas Street.

The circumstances that led to the collision at the intersection was not immediately established at the time of the report.

Fatal Bakersfield Accident Saturday Afternoon

Sadly the unidentified victim died in the accident.

Meanwhile, the involved motorist did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. However the involved car was found abandoned in the 100 block of Clyde Street.
